Annette Mcglamery Bentley

Ms. Annette McGlamery Bentley, 60, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Feb. 24, 2010, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born on Dec. 13, 1949, in Trade, Tenn., to the late James Raymond and Jessie Neatherly McGlamery. She was a lead person for Bernhardt Furniture. Ms. Bentley was a loving mother, friend and sister. She was her daughter’s best friend and a special person who was loved by many. She will be greatly missed. Ms. Bentley is survived by her daughter, Shannon Meliea Bentley; a special friend for 33 years, James "Reb" Reavis; three sisters, Reba Hartzog (Wayne), Emily Shatley and Betty Trivette, all of Lenoir, N.C.; one brother, Hayden McGlamery of Trade, Tenn.; two sisters-in-law, Virgie McGlamery of Trade and Betty McGlamery of Tampa, Fla.; three nieces, seven nephews, three great nieces and six great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce and Ray McGlamery. A memorial service for Ms. Bentley will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Barrett officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1023, Statesville, N.C., 28687-1023. The family expresses a special thank you to the ICU staff of Iredell Memorial Hospital and to Dr. Ahmed Elnaggar, Lisa Mathis, P.A., and Dr. John Allan for all their help, kindness and support.
