Andrew "Andy" Thomas Neill, 55, of Troutman, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Lake Norman Medical Center. He was born in Iredell County on December 6, 1955 to Carolyn Ervin Neill and the late Harold Ostwalt Neill. He was a member of Rocky Mount United Methodist Church and attended Troutman School. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Monte Watson Neill (Janice); two nieces, Carolyn N. Johnston (Rob) and Mandy N. Jones (Neal); two great nieces, Erin Johnston and Grace Jones; and two great nephews, Ben Johnston and William Jones. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a great niece, Chloe Johnston. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, at New Perth A.R.P. Church Cemetery in Troutman. A memorial service celebrating the life of Andy will be held following the burial at 3:00 p.m. at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jamie Hamrick and the Rev. Andy Conder officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Levine Children’s Hospital, Carolina Medical Center, 1000 Blythe Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203 in memory of his great niece, Chloe.
