Alma Reavis Robbins

Alma Reavis Robbins, 86, of Statesville, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2011 at Gordon Hospice House. She was born in Iredell County on May 22, 1925, the daughter of the late Norris Pritchard and Lelar Gough Reavis. She was married to the late Slue Robbins. Left to cherish her memory are a son, James Reavis of Statesville; a sister, Mary Andrews, of Conway, SC; a granddaughter, Trease Beadle; two great grandchildren, Doug Rhyne and Johnathan (Lydia) Beadle; and a great, great grandchild, Maddison Beadle. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Trail; two sisters, Fannie Byrd and Martha Thomas; and a brother, W.K. Reavis. A memorial service will be held at the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December l, 2011 at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Benjamin N. Black officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
