June 15, 1937 - September 15, 2013 Augustus G. "AG" Hayes, 75, of Statesville, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Brian Center of Statesville. He was born June 15, 1937 in Iredell County to William Andrew and Eula Myers Hayes. AG especially loved hunting, gardening, his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Ann Reep Hayes, of Statesville; son, Barry Hayes and wife, Paige, of Statesville; daughter, Angela Hayes of Troutman; five sisters; one brother; and four grandchildren, Lee Hayes, Clint Hayes, Andrew Hayes and Anna Gregory. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 - 2 pm, Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at Iredell Memorial Gardens, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 pm, with the Rev. Sharon Snow officiating.
