Velva (Morrow) Ayscue

Velva Morrow Ayscue, 89 of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at her home.

Mrs. Ayscue was born February 15, 1934 in Iredell County, the daughter of the late Aaron P. Morrow, Sr. and Mary Keaver Morrow.  She was a dietitian/cook for Northside Christian School in Charlotte, NC, she attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she was lovingly welcomed.

Velva was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry C. Ayscue, Jr., her brother, Aaron Morrow, Jr. and two granddaughters, Andria and Ashley Ayscue.

Those left to cherish the life and memory of Velva Ayscue, include her son, Roger Ayscue, her daughter in law, Janel Ayscue, her granddaughter, Trinity Ayscue, and her grandson, Jeb Stuart Ayscue.

A memorial service to be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Troutman, NC.  Burial will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery.
