Julie (Jorn) Everett

Julie Jorn Everett, 60, of Statesville, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at her home.

Julie was born on November 22, 1963, in Omaha, Nebraska, daughter of Geraldine Michaels Jorn and the late Jerry Jorn. Julie will be remembered as a caring, supportive, and loving Wife, Mother, Mimi, and Friend.

In addition to her father, Julie was preceded in death by her grandson, John Everett.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Geraldine Jorn, her husband, Sewell Everett, her children, John Everett (Brandy), Jake Everett (Molly), Josh Everett (Kalyn), Samantha “Sam” Everett, Sara Everett (Phillip Himsl) and her brother, Jeff Jorn. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kierra, Rose, Katherine, Alyssa, Phillip, Matthew, Mary, Thomas, Braxen, Jameson, Halle, Naudia, Isaiah, Lilyanna, Giovanni, Treyson, Genevieve, Brooklyn, Payton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the organization of the donor’s choice.

Don’t grieve for me for now I’m free,

I’m following the path God laid for me

I took his hand when I heard him call,

I turned my back and left it all

I could not stay another day,

To laugh, to love, to work or play

Tasks left undone must stay that way,

I’ve found that peace at the close of day
