Eva Elizabeth Moore Alley

May 29, 1924 - April 24, 2014 Eva Elizabeth Moore Alley, 89, passed away on April 24, 2014. She was born on May 19th, 1924 in Iredell County to the late Thomas and Grace Oswalt Moore. Ms. Alley was a resident of the Huntersville Oaks Nursing Home and formerly of the Oakdale Community in Charlotte, N.C. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Oakdale. Ms. Alley was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered always for her beautiful smile, kind heart and her love of gardening and baking. Ms. Alley was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Kamey Alley, and her daughter, Sylvia Alley Guiton Brown; infant granddaughter, Tina Renee Alley; three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Michael (Mary) Alley, of Charlotte; sister, Francis (Bobby) Oliphant; and granddaughters, Tammie Sharpe, Tonya Helms, and Tracie Dover. Ms. Alley is also survived by three great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at the Huntersville Oaks Chapel at 12019 Verhoeff Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078, at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with funeral expenses may be sent to Dean R. Murdock at P.O. Box 185, Troutman, NC 28166.
