Arlene Madge Jaccard Rios, 77, of Statesville passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at The Gardens of Statesville. She was born in Los Angeles County, CA on April 9, 1932 to the late Jack and Margaret McManus Jaccard. She was raised by her dad and stepmother Dolly Stoll Jaccard and worked as a care giver in home health care for a number of years. Ms. Rios was a very selfless, giving person who loved being with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed Bible study and going to church and particularly enjoyed food and the ocean. She also took pleasure in music by singing and composing both music and lyrics. Ms. Rios is survived by two sons, Randall R. Rios of Seattle, WA and Ronald T. (Christina) Rios of Delta, CO; five daughters, Linda R. (John) Vasapolli of Beaumont, CA, Valerie A. (John) Craig of Laguna Niguel, CA, Pamela (Roger) Heath of San Bernardino, CA, Penny J. (Corey) Paugh of Statesville, and Raquel (Carl) Thornton of Cabazon, CA; two brothers, Lee Jaccard of Bend, OR and Jerry Jaccard of UT; 24 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Jaccard. A graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010 with the Rev. Tom Corbell officiating. The family will gather to celebrate the life of Ms. Rios at 1l:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Wildflower Park in Sundance. The park is located off Highland Springs Road in Beaumont, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of the donor’s choice.Visits: 0
