Angela "Angel" Jean Adams

November 18, 1965 — November 5, 2024

Angela “Angel” Jean Adams was brought into the world on November 18, 1965 and entered Heaven on November 5, 2024, at the too-young age of 58. Born to Gerry and Joan Adams, Angel was raised in her beloved Centerville, Indiana and graduated from CHS in 1984. With Gerry and Joan as youth leaders, Angel and her brother Gerry Lee “Bubby” were active in their church youth group during their teens. She was an avid softball player and shared animated stories about her dad coaching her team. Angel continued to stay in touch with many childhood friends during adulthood. With a dream to travel and experience new and exciting places, Angel became a travel agent and used her talents in a local agency and then for business travelers at Belden in Richmond. It was at Belden that she met her partner and best friend of more than 27 years, Debbie Thomas. Angel and Debbie had a storybook wedding in 2015. The wedding was at sunset atop a mountain in Zirconia, North Carolina. The ceremony was lit by hundreds of candles and included rocking chairs and immediate family. Angel’s travel knowledge continued to bring joy as she planned amazing vacations for friends and family. Two trips at the forefront of her memories included her parents and Debbie. The top vacation was on Bald Head Island in one of the beachfront homes… watching dolphins play in the waves, exploring the island in a golf cart, walking the beach, and learning to play poker. A close second was a week in California’s Sierra Mountains. This week included tagging hummingbirds during their annual migration. Not many people can say they’ve held a hummingbird in the palm of their hands. Angel made an impact on everyone she met. She never met a stranger and helped many throughout her life. Some previously unknown tender stories have emerged since her passing that continue to reinforce the Angel we all knew… an affinity with animals and a kind and giving heart that touched those around her. As she left this world, Angel was surrounded with the love of her parents Gerry & Joan Adams, her brother Bubby, her wife Debbie, two of her nieces Meranda & Courtney, and childhood friend Brenda Day. Angel would also want to remember the love of two additional special nieces, Lydia Adams & Chelsea Murray. We will miss Angel deeply, but we are so thankful for the time we shared. We’ll hold Angel in our hearts until we hold her in Heaven.
