Amy (Underwood) Fraley

Amy Underwood Fraley, 43, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Amy was born on April 26, 1981, in Raleigh, NC to the late Joe Dan Underwood and Janet Underwood. Amy was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She was married to Rye Fraley and had their son Reston. She was a kind person who always put others first and made everyone feel welcome. And always made sure to put Reston above herself.

In addition to her parents, Amy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Miriam and George Lemuel Pleasant; her paternal grandparents, Margaret and Joseph Underwood; her uncle, Tim Harris; and her aunt, Pat Pleasant.

Those left to cherish the life and memory of Amy are her husband Rye Fraley; her son, Reston Wendell Fraley; her aunt Alicia Harris; Uncle Bobby Underwood (Dora); cousins, Brad Harris (Hayley), Meredith Kennedy (Justin), Brandi Underwood and Robert Underwood.; father and mother in law, Sammy and Elsie Fraley; sister and brother in law, Rana and Russ Sarratt; and nieces and nephews, Ryker, Ridgely, and Rhettford Sarratt.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, at 1:00 at Beulah Baptist Church with Pastor Parker French officiating. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow the service at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
