Richard "Dick" Philip Brooks

Richard “Dick” Philip Brooks, 79, of Troutman, passed away, Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Dick was born May 9, 1940 in Port Huron, MI and was the son of the late Alexander Brooks and Helen Fogal Brooks. He was a graduate of Port Huron, MI schools and was married to the late Sandra Lynn Brooks, who passed away, September 22, 2013. Dick was retired from Curtis Screw Co. and was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church. He loved camping, woodworking and playing the guitar and banjo.

He is survived by one daughter, Christina Brooks of Fort Mill, SC; one son, Richard Brooks, II (Jeanne) of Winfield, AL; seven grandchildren, Heather Rogers, Ryan Magee, Randall Magee, Maegan Harrison, Amanda Doss, Joshua Brooks, Rochelle Watson; 13 great grandchildren and two sisters, Marilyn Boroski of Michigan and Dana Heath of Canada.

A memorial service will be held 11:00am Monday, September 30, 2019 at Broad Street United Methodist Church. The family will visit with friends following the service in Memorial Hall.
