ReNey Fowler Murdock, 71, of Statesville, passed away, Thursday, September 5, 2019 at her home.
Mrs. Murdock was born August 30, 1948 in Wilson, NC and was the daughter of the late Robert Ney Fowler and Emma Ruth Nabors Fowler. She was a graduate of Towers High School in Decatur, GA and was married to the late Grady Randall Murdock. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Troutman and was a substitute teacher for Iredell-Statesville Schools.
She is survived by four children, Andrea Lynn Lancaster McAllum (Perry) of Georgia, Krista ReNey Lancaster McMillan (Bobby) of Troutman, Randall “Randy” Lee Murdock of Durham, Kerri Murdock Layne of Troutman; three grandchildren, Aaron Mays McMillan, Gavin Parker McAllum, Ansleigh Elizabeth Layne, one brother, Richard “Rick” Nabors Fowler and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Punt officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Michaels Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 1:30-2:30 pm at the church.
