Nancy Louise (Haithcox) Davidson

Mrs. Nancy Louise Haithcox Swicegood Davidson, 84, of Troutman, passed away, Monday, August 5, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Davidson was born February 2. 1935 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late William Hugh Haithcox and Lulu Bell Haithcox. She was a graduate of Cool Springs High School and was first married to the late Donald Jason Swicegood and later married the late Gilbert L. Davidson. She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church and was retired from Thor-lo, Inc.

Mrs. Davidson is survived by one daughter, Kim Swicegood Shumake of Statesville; four grandchildren, Lindsey S. Henkel (Ben) of Statesville, Samantha S. Johnson (Daniel) of Statesville, Olivia Shumake (Michael Watts) of Huntersville, Jason Shumake of Statesville; two great grandchildren, Ava Henkel, Cole Henkel and one brother, Tommy Haithcox. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Joe C. Shumake; four brothers, Fred Haithcox, Roy Lee Haithcox, James Haithcox, Benny Haithcox and one sister, Rachel Holland.

Funeral services will be held 3:00pm Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Troutman Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Eades officiating. The family will speak with friends following the service. Burial will be held 2:00 pm Monday in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
